1. Lourdes
Stay
About the destination: Lourdes is a large town in the French Pyrenees. It is a global center of Marian pilgrimage, receiving hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. Catholics believe that the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, appeared 18 times at the Grotto to a young girl, St Bernadette Soubirous.Originally a sleepy market town on the road to the spas of the Pyrenees, Lourdes has grown into the largest Marian pilgrimage center in the world. The town has two sections: the international portion by the river, consisting of the spiritual area containing the Grotto and churches, known as the Domaine or the Sanctuaries, and the French portion, centered around the Marketplace and Hotel de Ville.Lourdes is a pedestrian friendly city with several pedestrian only streets and it is very easy to get around the town center. It really is worth walking and exploring. Don't miss the nightly candlelight procession in front of the Basilica and around the main square, with singing, prayer and a rosary said in many languages.

2. Pau
Stay
About the destination: Pau is a commune on the northern edge of the Pyrenees, and capital of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques Département in the region of Aquitaine, France. The city is located in the heart of the former sovereign State of Béarn, of which it was the capital from 1464. Bordered by the Gave de Pau, the city is located 100 kilometres from the Atlantic Ocean and 50 kilometres from Spain. This position gives it an exceptional panorama across the mountain range of the Pyrenees as well as on the hillsides of Jurançon. The name of Horizons Palois aims to protect this vision, in particular with the famous Boulevard des Pyrénées which extends for 1.8 kilometres from the Château de Pau to the Parc Beaumont. Alphonse de Lamartine said: "Pau has the world's most beautiful view of the earth just as Naples has the most beautiful view of the sea." Le château de Pau. The birth place of Henri IV of France. Beautiful architecture. Unlike many French Chateaux, the Chateau de Pau is fully furnished.

3. Biarritz
Stay
About the destination: Biarritz is a famous holiday destination located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department of Aquitaine, France. Biarritz lies on the Bay of Biscay, on the Atlantic coast, in southwestern France. It is adjacent to Bayonne and Anglet and 18 km from the border with Spain. Biarritz has 6 km of beaches and is a popular summer holiday destination. Its beaches are characterized by fine sand and large amounts of seaweed. The seaweed adds iodine to the water which is known to have beneficial effects on the body. These healthy properties of the water are the reason for the popularity of resorts in Biarritz. MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS La Grande Plage The Grande Plage is the main beach of the town, popular among tourists and locals alike. It was previously known as the “Côte des Fous” (coast of the crazy), because of the large number of “sick” people who came for the benefits of the waters. It is located in the heart of Biarritz, close to shopping areas, bars and restaurants. The Rock of the Virgin The Rock of the Virgin is connected to the mainland via a bridge that was commissioned by Napoleon III. The bridge crosses over the water and partly through the rock that was carved out. The bridge is known as the Eiffel Bridge, named after the architect Gustave Eiffel, the same man who built the Eiffel Tower. From the end of the rock, you can enjoy some of the best views of Biarritz. On a clear day, you can even see mountains of the Spanish Basque Country. Fishermen Port This port was built in 1870 for inshore fishermen. Today, most of the fishermen are gone and what is left is a cute little port mainly visited by tourists. There are a bunch of restaurants located in the picturesque fishermen’s houses. If you want to eat fresh fish or seafood, this is definitely the best place to do it.
